We’ve had those wedges in the crib that prevent him from rolling over since birth. He’s now 4 1/2 mo old. How long do these stay in crib?

How do you attach a crib bumper?

Susan S asked:

Like most cribs, I have a crib where the one side slides down. So where do I attach it that will allow me to still slide the one side up and down? There are bars on all four sides. Do I attach it with the one side up so that it is uneven when I put the bar down, if I even can put the bar down?

People commenting about SIDS risk need not answer this question. There are no directions to follow either.

Laura M asked:

I don’t want to be criticized for still having my baby in my room.
She is sleeping in her crib and has been since she was 2 months old and outgrew the bassinet. I know I probably should have already moved her.
She is 8 months old. I’m just wondering about everyone else.
I just have anxiety about her not being next to my bed.

I just recently got a kitty. She wants to sleep in my daughters crib which is a huge NONO. If i shut my daughts door (which i hate doing)0 she crys continuesly outside of her room. My house isnt really big so no matter where i bring the kitty we can hear her. How do i keep her out of the crib since cats dont seem to listen and understand that great?
Of couse my daughter is more important then a cat but sometimes there are other alternatives then giving up an animal especially since she has so much fun with the cat. it is worth a try to find out first. The kitten is only 2 pounds and it has only been 1 week

My baby is 8 weeks old and I just started trying to put her in her crib for at least 1 nap per day but I have to swaddle her same as at night for bed in order for her to sleep. Is swaddling a hard thing to break? And is it important at this age for her to nap in her bed everytime she falls asleep in her swing ar infant chair? If not then what age should I start?

Should I try to clean the green mold off my baby’s crib?

Florida girl at heart asked:

Our garage recently flooded. My daughter’s crib was being stored there. Although we raised the crib out of the water’s way, it still ended up getting a light dusting of green mold (as did all my baby gear). The crib is a finished cherry wood and is about 6 years old. My husband and I are wondering if we can remove the mold with bleach solution (baby #2 is on the way), or should we throw it out? Any thoughts or suggestions regarding treatment would be appreciated!
My husband and I looked at the crib, and decided to pitch it. Maybe if it was our bed, we’d give it a go, but bcs it’s the baby’s and more spores could be hiding in cervices after it’s cleaned, we decided to play it safe. Thanks for all of your input!!!

lopku asked:

My daughter just crawled out of her playpen today, so I know I can’t use it anymore. I am now worried that she will try getting out of her crib in the middle of the night or something. Is there any kind of safety product that stops toddlers from crawling out of their cribs for? My daughter is 16 months.

How do I go about getting my 3 month old to sleep in her crib?

I have a 3 month old baby.Okay I will admit at first I was a little afraid to let her sleep alone.I was scared she would spit up and choke in her sleep or something.I’m over that now.I want to start putting her in her crib at night.I put her in there during the day for naps and she does just fine but at night she has a fit.I guess that could be because her hrs are all backward too.Does anyone think that it is ok to just let her cry herself to sleep?I mean if she has been changed, fed, burped and is comfortable.Should I just let her cry it out.I dont want her sleeping in the bed with us forever.I want her to be independent. Thanks!
