My little girl is 16 months old and she is still in a crib but is trying to crawl out, we have moved the mattress all the way down and it did no good. So I am wondering if now is a good time to convert her crib in to a toddler bed? Also she is still sleeping in our room and I am skeptical about moving her bed to her own room I have a fear of a fire starting and I wont get to her in time. Any advice there?

I purchased a used port-a-crib with mattress, sheets and a crib bumper. The bumper is pretty clean (no stains or anything) but I would like to clean it. It is cotton and looks home-made but not sure. No washing instructions. I don’t want to stick it in the washer and have it come out all clumpy. What other avenue can I take to clean it? Thanks

She usually moves a lot while sleeping, sometimes she sits up in the midnight and falls down, her head hitting against the mattress. However, if she sleeps in her crib, i’m afraid that her head will hit the crib. I don’t think the bumper helps much because it just works if she lays down.

My son has skillfully learned how to climb out of his crib, its actually quit impressive. But it is obviously dangerous, so we are putting the crib away. He is currently sleep on his matress on the floor, but it is now almost impossible to get him to go to sleep. He just wants to wander around his room. We are looking for a bed for him. Any suggestions. Do they make little kids bed that will encourage him to stay in it? Not necessarily cage him in, but something?
