Can I convert one end of a crib frame to a twin headboard? How?

My daughter is ready to move into a big girl bed and I can’t find a headboard that I like that works well with the existing furniture(a dresser and chest of drawers). The crib, however, is a match and I was thinking about taking one end of it and using it as a headboard. Would it work? How would I do it? Thx.

How do I get my 3 month old to sleep in the crib?

I have a 3 month old son who currently sleeps in his carrier at night. We have tried to get him to sleep in a bassinet, pack-n-play and crib. As soon as we lay him down his eyes pop open and he starts screaming, not just crying, screaming. Our ped. checked his ears and they are fine…Any suggestions?

It is a vey old wooden crib that has been restored and we would like to use it for our new baby. The crib is orginally from the late 1800’s and a regualr crib mattress wont quite fit.

How do I get my 6 month old son to sleep on his own in his crib?

We can get him to sleep no problem in the swing or when he’s tired in our arms but he won’t close his eyes and fall asleep in his crib on his own. We have Baby Einstein playing softly in the background (as usual), but no matter how tired (and cranky) he is, he just lays there and rolls around. Please help.

Is it safe for a baby to sleep in a portable crib/bassinet for long periods of time?

My wife and I are moving across the country less than two months after we have our first child. We are considering buying a portable crib or a bassinet instead of a regular crib for the first couple of weeks.

When we went to look at portable cribs, the mattress seemed pretty flimsy compared to the regular cribs. Would it be safe for a newborn to sleep in a portable crib for that long? Should be try to find something with a firmer mattress –like a bassinet or a regular crib?

We’re happily adding a new addition to our family! My first at that! As I look for cribs, I know I want a 4 in 1 crib that I can use for years to come (as well as with our next child), but don’t really understand what the difference is between the two. Please help! Thanks!
