You can get Cat nets to go over cots, prams, carrycots etc while the baby is sleeping in it. Try clippasafe.co.uk. They need to keep moving the cat away and shutting the cat out of the room where the baby is.

Here is a good article about cats and babies:
I know some people will have heart failure and get those thumbs down going, but my cat used to sleep in the crib with my daughter and I never had a problem with a disease, cat hair, etc. Of course, it depends on the personality of the cat. And my daugher grew up to be a cat lover!

After the baby dies,, they might find the difficult idea that beating the cat ,,,may have been the best method,, short of killing the cat.
I have no respect for any cat

You might check with a vet for current info on this subject but the “old school” information on this would tell you that a cat in the crib is very dangerous for the baby. Cats’ can be known to smother a baby because of the milk smell on the baby’s breath….Best advice? Keep the cat out of the crib and the baby’s room altogether.

punish the cat with a spray of water in the face every time she does it and eventually it will stop
