How is a crib bumper cleaned?

I purchased a used port-a-crib with mattress, sheets and a crib bumper. The bumper is pretty clean (no stains or anything) but I would like to clean it. It is cotton and looks home-made but not sure. No washing instructions. I don’t want to stick it in the washer and have it come out all clumpy. What other avenue can I take to clean it? Thanks

   I got a port-a-crib from my mom that I need to get rid of. I’d put it in the laundry just like anything else wash as normaly. I have three kids and have done this before.

   You can take it to the dry cleaners …Or you can wash it in the dish washer..that way it wont get torn up

   Bumpers are generaly made to be washed in the washing machine. If you think it is home made and the filling might shift…. take some safety pins and anchor them in the middle all along every 6 inches. keep them in place in the dryer too. I certainly would not use the dish washer!!! Its not designed for that.
