How do I deal with my embaressed diaper problem?
DiaperKaren M asked:
I ‘m 12 ,girl
I wet my bed every night, even twice a night
My mom always spank me for wetting
she ask me wear Goodnites or Pull-ups during sleeping
Sometimes even largest Pampers
Yesterday I wet my skirt at school not on purpose
Mom now ask me wear diapers to school
she tell my problem to my teacher and teacher say she will change me in bathroom if I wet them
I feel so embaressed! When my diaper were found by my classmates, they laughed at me!
This is not a joke,It’s true!
Please help me!

Please have your mother take you to a doctor. You may very likely have a medical problem causing this condition. If your Mom will not cooperate, talk to your teacher or the school nurse. This is not your fault. Good luck.

There are some exercises that you can do to strengthen your muscles. You know how when you are peeing and and you can stop squeeze and stop it,and release and keep on peeing? Well you can do that even when you’re not peeing and that will help your muscles get stronger so you can hold your pee and wait till you can make it to the bathroom. Or just ask your mom to take you to the doctor and I’m sure he will know of something other than diapers to help you out. Don’t be embarrassed to ask your doctor anything, they have heard everything and that is what they are there for! Good luck sweetie.

It is possible that at your age your bladder may not be fully developed yet at this time. If that is the case then it could explain why you are wetting the bed at night and your panties during the day.
Is this something that has always been going on or is it something new?
If it’s something new, are you going through some stress in your life? Is there something bothering you that could be putting pressure on you?
Your mom shouldn’t be spanking you, she should be more understanding and supportive of you and trying to help you find out what is wrong.
I’m sorry that the others at school are teasing you, but if that is the way your friends are, then they really aren’t good friends. You need to find someone else that will be understanding of your problem.
Good luck and I hope things get better for you.

You were brave to ask. Here goes:
1) make sure your doctor knows you wet during the night and have daytime wetting (it is pretty common and there are usually some simple steps you can take to help you stop)
2) Sometimes kids your age have “daytime urgency” - you just need a little more time to get to the bathroom than others. There is a safe drug that you can use for a few weeks that can help you stop the daytime wetting
3) There are also washable absorbent briefs (they look like regular underwear) that you can buy - just in case you do wet during the day - they look like regular underwear (they are available online at)
4) You should try a bedwetting alarm for the night wetting.
Bedwetting alarms work. It is the most effective method to help you permanently stop wetting the bed at night. They sense moisture and buzz when you are wetting. Much different than an alarm clock, they sound when the body is wetting. (not at a “random” time). Gradually you will learn to recognize the signal from your bladder and learn to sleep dry all night in about 10 weeks. Also available at the Bedwetting Store
