How do you know when your baby is ready for an umbrella stroller?
Baby StrollersJava asked:
My 5 month old can hold his head up steady but isn’t able to sit up unassisted yet. Is it only safe for a baby to sit in an umbrella stroller only after he/she is able to sit up on his own? I have seen some umbrella strollers that recline back pretty far and was wondering if one of these would do damage to his developing spine. This will be my first stroller for him.

that should be fine to get one of the semi-reclining ones…

I would say it will probably be ok for short periods but it will be uncomfotable when the baby could be in it asleep for a long time. Like good for a walk in the park but not for a trip to the zoo. Plus umbrella strollers don’t have any room to hang a full diper bag.
