what is the difference between a jogger stroller and a regular stroller?

I have a regular stroller - but I’m thinking about starting a jogging program when Spring gets here. How is a jogger stroller different / better than a regular stroller?

I only have a BOB jogging stroller- it’s awesome for walks, jogs and just cruising around town. I don’t ever have the need for a regular stroller except when we use cheapie stroller when we travel by plane.

The jogging stroller has air filled tires which make the ride smoother for the child. And depending on how much you spend on one it may have a nice suspension system. Also, the wheels are fixed (they don’t swivel in the front) and they are much larger, thus making the stroller less likely to tip. You’ll find that the jogging stroller is manufactured differently around the rear wheels which will help to keep you from kicking the axel with your longer stride. A regular stroller cannot safely be used for jogging, but a jogging stroller can be used for almost any outdoor activity. I prefer it because the ride is so much smoother for my child.
