What newborn to 12 month stroller should I buy?

I am having a hard time making up my mind on which newborn to 12 month year old stroller I want to buy. I know that I want a light weight stroller, I know that I want a stroller with good consumer reports, I know that I cant spend over $600 on both the car set and stroller combined. Thought I would get the opinion of yahoo question people.

   Suzanne

   I got the graco snug ride car seat and matching stroller (each item is around $79-99). The car seat fits really well on top of the stroller, and now that she’s 5 months, she’s loving sitting up. Plus it has a 5 point harness on the stroller too, which helps her sit up since she’s not super strong yet.

   Available at Target. The snug ride was one of only 2 car seats (out of 12) that passed the consumer report tests– including side impact. The other seat was a $250 one– and teh snug ride scored better!

   If you are having a tough time making a decision, just do some research. Go to websites like walmart.com and target.com, they show all the stroller/seat combos that you can imagine, and they give ratings and safety info.

   I was very happy with my Graco Snugride, but I hate the Graco strollers. They seem so bulky. I bought the Baby Trend Trendsport and I also loved that. It’s not suitable for everyday abuse, but I used it outside almost everyday on smooth sidewalks and indoors. It folds up great. I doubt it would work for city life, but it was great for small towns.

   I also recommend that you invest in a good sling. Maya Wrap makes awesome slings. Many people also love Moby Wraps. Either one is inexpensive and very convenient.

   all i have to say is DONT buy a eddie bauer carseat or stroller!! the carseats weighs 10 lbs all by its self.
