What qualities to look for in a jogging stroller?
Baby Strollersrainwriterm asked:
What are some qualities that really make or break a jogging stroller? What have you found to be essential, useful, and a pain in the neck?

I remember a experience y daughter had at a park. Any way it unfolded great but we were not able to fold it back and had to haul it home on top car. It was a partly assemble yourself deal. SO I say check how it folds and carries and get one ready to go. Also there is a way to check a RECALL list. Might research that also.

The height of the push bar on it, if you’re stooped over its too short and your back is going to be killing you. Front wheel locks straight forward for roads that are not perfectly flat so you aren’t straining to keep the stroller straight which once again can cause back or shoulder pain over time. Forget the speakers, to actually be able to hear what its playing you have to practically blast the baby’s ear drums.

I have the Bob Revolution, which I love, but it does have some downs sides (folding it up in cumbersome). Things to look for:
1. Light glide — my jogging stroller (Bob Revolution) is has a super smooth glide. It’s incredibly light when you push it, which makes it easier to jog with (not that i jog with it, but I do walk/hike).
2. Strong construction — you want something really well made.
3. Storage area under the seat
4. Cup holders
5. Sun shade
6. weather/rain resistant material
7. Ease of folding — some of the jogging strollers are super heavy and a pain in the butt to fold up (this is the one downside of the Bob in my opinion). Make sure to test it before you buy it, and make sure it fits in your trunk before you buy it because these strollers are huge!!

If I were buying one again (gonna stick with this one as this is my last kid), I would want one that folds flatter and has a front wheel that moves/rotates whatever. Most of them have a front wheel that is stationary (except for basic back and forth rolling) and aims slightly to the right (or is to the left), so the strollers tend to pull one way and you have to kind of re-adjust your aim as you walk or you gradually end up in the middle of the road. I want a swivelling front wheel!
