Baby Strollersmommy to a precious baby girl asked:
My daughter is 8 months and i’m going to get her a new stroller. I’m looking for a lightweight one. Any suggestions.

I am using a graco stroller … it is quite lightweight, and you can assemble and fold it up with one hand, which comes in handy when you are holding onto a squirming baby.

I have a Maclaren Quest and love it. It is a bit pricey, but to me worth every penny.
I have friends that have this one and really like it, and it is less expensive than the Maclaren

I have a Combi Flare and I love it! The last poster had a link for a similar combi stroller - the strollers from Combi are all really great. They have a “tri-fold”…they fold up really small and are super lightweight. They are fairly reasonably priced too. I couldn’t find one where I lived but could order it online easily.

The Maclaren Volo, Triumph or Quest are probably the most popular lightweight strollers. The Volo weights 3.9kg / 8.6lb, the Triumph is 5.0kg / 11lb, and the Quest is 5.5kg / 12.2lb. But I think what makes them so popular is because they are well design, you can fold them with one hand, and even steer one-handed as well. If you had to choose between the 3 then take the Quest since the Volo and Triumph has more basic features.
The Combi is a good lightweight stroller and very portable and easy to fold. It’s only drawback is that it’s not as easy to steer when you start adding accessories and other extra weight.
Other popular lightweight choices are Inglesina Trip, Peg Perego Pliko P3 and the Baby Jogger City Series Mini.
I could go on and on listing the different lightweight strollers and their features but I think it depends on your intentions. Is it for short trips, long trips, jogging? I think all the strollers listed so far are good strollers but they all have their pros and cons depending on what you want to do.
